Anthony lives in Woolloomooloo, Sydney and was brought up in Sydney’s south west suburbs. He was raised in a Maltese Catholic family and understands the struggles of coming out in a faith background. He is the owner and founder of a General Insurance brokerage which he has been running for several years.
Tim has seen the difficulties faced by people with a faith/orientation conflict and has been keen to support the work of Anthony Venn-Brown. He owns a web development and web video company in Sydney. He was raised as a Catholic. He lives in Surry Hills, Sydney and is a father and grandfather. He owns a web video business, a web development business and part-owns a travel business. He is a life member of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Business Association (SGLBA).
Bill WangFinance Director
Bill joined as a member of ABBI in 2014, and was appointed Treasurer at same time. As a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), a Public Practitioner and Registered Tax Agent, Bill specializes in providing professional accountancy, business management and tax advice for individuals and small to medium businesses. He brings a broad range of accounting, finance and management skills to the ABBI board.
Dr Marguerite FoxonBoard Member
Marguerite is a Sydney-based evaluation and performance improvement consultant, and active in Paddington Uniting church. She has a long history of social justice activism, particularly in faith settings, in the U.S. and Australia. She joined the Board in 2013.
Byron BarnesBoard Member
Byron has been a board member of ABBI since December 2014. Byron brings over 10 years professional fundraising experience to the team at ABBI, and recently qualified as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Byron assists with the fundraising strategy and work, lives in Sydney with his partner Joy, and is passionate about supporting social justice causes.
Hannah Pia BaralBoard Member
Hannah has been on the board of ABBI since 2013. Hannah was born in Manila, moved to New Zealand in her late teens and has been living in Sydney for over seven years. Hannah has held a number of senior management roles in the not-for-profit, education and health sector in New Zealand and Australia. She brings skills in the areas of organisational development, program development and project management.
