Aaron Kelly
Aaron KellyBoard Member
Aaron Kelly served as a Pentecostal pastor for 12 years and established a church in Melbourne.

After two years of studying theology to guide policies for LGBTQ individuals attending his church, Aaron realised he had been manipulated into living a life that was not his own through various forms of conversion practices.

This realisation prompted him to come out as gay in 2020, a decision that cost him his position in the church and Christian community, leading to significant personal changes and trauma.

Aaron is determined that his challenging journey would not just remain a painful past, but rather be used for a positive purpose. Now, Aaron is dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ acceptance within religious communities.

Aaron brings a diverse skill set to his role at ABBI, including leadership, public speaking, writing, graphic design, and event management. As an ABBI board member, he is committed to promoting understanding and equality for LGBTQ individuals.
