Do Not Bring The Name Of Jesus Christ Into Disrepute

Thursday, 1st March 2007

The Rev Hon Fred Nile MLC, Leader of the Christian Democratic Party, has been shocked by the announcement of the participation in the Homosexual and Lesbian Mardi Gras through Sydney streets, on 3rd March, 2007, of a person claiming to be a Pentecostal Christian.

Media reports claim that a Pentecostal Minister, Pastor Anthony Venn-Brown, will lead the openly homosexual Pentecostal marchers.

Rev Fred Nile said “I call upon Anthony Venn-Brown and these marchers to withdraw from this blasphemous, obscene parade and not bring the Name of Jesus Christ into disrepute [2 Peter 2:1-2].

“They should also repent of their homosexual sin, as have many homosexuals,” said Rev Fred Nile MLC.
