Plan your National Day of Action

The Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, ACON and New Mardi Gras are planting 1,000 pink hearts in Victoria Park, Camperdown, to show our relationships deserve legal equality. The event is a family get-together and participants are invited to bring a picnic lunch. The heart-planting will run from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Following the planting, Community Action Against Homophobia, Australian Marriage Equality and a long list of other organisations are hosting a rally in Darlinghurst, meeting at Taylor Square at 1pm followed by a march to Hyde Park where speakers including Lord Mayor Clover Moore, Dr Kerryn Phelps, Anthony Venn-Brown, Senator Kerry Nettle and Sydney MP Tanya Plibersek will face the crowd. This is another family-friendly event, and children’s activities are planned during the speeches.
