Ambassadors and Bridge Builders International (ABBI) has been established to create a better world for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) people.
For many decades, a same-sex-orientation (SSO) was considered dysfunctional, could be ‘cured’ and incongruent with the Christian faith. Scientific research in this area has demonstrated SSO is immutable.
Laws have been changed to end discrimination, acceptance of diversity is championed in every area of society including sports and the corporate world, and the gay Christian movement has grown exponentially. More and more churches and denominations are becoming welcoming, accepting, and affirming of LGBTQ people.
There is still much work to do to overcome the ignorance and misinformation about sexual orientation and gender identity that still exists within religious contexts.
ABBI serves individuals, churches, denominations, leaders, and religious organizations in a respectful and non-confrontational way along their journey to understand LGBTQ people, their community, and relationships.
We provide a confidential, safe space through dialogue, training, and consultancy services for churches, Christian organisations, church leadership, corporate and the NFP sectors.
